By George Dodson

You cannot wait for autumn to photograph the tree though trees look attractive in autumn.

Equipments of photography

Various types of lenses from wide-angle to shorter telephotos are available now. You can use any of them. If you want, you can also use compacted camera. As in dark forest light is unsatisfactory, you should take a tripod must. It is better to take a large bag with numerous compartments for a long journey. It will ensure enough space to take your essential things.

Target the woods

You can get trees easily near by us like our garden, beside the roads etc. For getting excellent specimen you are suggested to go out of doors. Though woods are good specimen for photography but you can not use tripod in all gardens or site. So at first you have to know about the place before carrying the tripod. If you want to take shots of a group of trees, it is better to take the entire view by stepping backward. You can also take a portion for artistic view.

Select a suitable time

Light is an important factor in photography. Low light and high bright light is not good. So it is better to start early or wait for the sun goes down slightly. Without some special case a cloudy day is not preferable for photography at all.

Go for textures and patterns

You should get closer when you are going for a single tree. Go to the trunk and cover some texture in your photo range.

Man made item

Keep some artificially made objects like statues, benches etc in your coverage. But considering the color is very important.

Go to leaves

It is better to give attention to leaves and canopy area in a clear sky. Blue sky acts as a distinct background of green leaves and you can go into more deeper position of leaves like veins. You should not take the photo of a bug chewed leaf. A 100 mm micro lenses are more convenient for extra zooming but when you deserve more detailed shots, you should use a coupling ring and an extension tube on two lenses.

If you want a shiny and distinct work, please avoid the thicker leaves and same patterned leaves.
