Miracle Fruit & The Idea Of Fair Trade

By Rebecca Mills

Miracle fruit is characterized by various qualities, some of them clearer than others. Not only are these berries all-natural but they are amongst the sweetest types of fruit that can be imagined. Of course, they cannot be made from nature alone, which is where the skills of farmers and workers alike will be able to come to the forefront. In order to better understand what said farmers and workers operate under, it is important to focus on the idea of fair trade.

No one can argue with the fact that fair trade is a practice that should apply to all avenues of business. What said practice entails is that when someone creates a product, meant to be sold to a general audience, he or she will be paid accordingly. This goes for just about anything you can think of, including miracle berries for health and culinary reasons alike. Fair trade is a noble practice and it's one that companies the likes of MiraBurst wholeheartedly support.

What fair trade practices also entail is the provision of fair wages, which is important to say the least. Everyone should be able to make a substantial, if not livable, wage and this can be a challenge when there are too few jobs out there. One could make the argument that the creators of certain goods may be brushed aside, in this regard, which could result in products of lower quality. Given the fact that miracle fruit has been dependable, this shouldn't be the case.

It's pretty common for families to work on farms, whether it's for the creation of miracle fruit or what have you. Essentially, when consumers decide to purchase this fruit, they are able to support the families in question. What this means is that they are driven to work that much harder, which can translate into higher yields when it comes to fruit. It's easy to support local farmers this way, even if you are someone who lives a good distance away from the point of origin.

In order for jobs to be treated with respect, at least from those who would like to pursue them, fair trade is a term that should be attached. It ensures that the efforts of workers are taken into consideration and, just as importantly, paid fairly in the long term. Certain jobs require higher degrees of effort than others, which is especially true for positions reliant on physical labor. The creation of the aforementioned fruit is no different, so it's fortunate that it is seen as a fair trade line of work as well.
