How many people do you know who want to start their own company but are not sure what to do? Then use any networking platform you have, or can create. Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr are all great places to advertise your company.

Marketing and image all form part of the package. If you want to be considered a professional, you cannot go without a website. Wordpress and Wix both provide free website services, or if you want a personalised domain, you need to pay a small monthly fee. The kind of image you create should be researched. Look at top firms in your industry. What kind of design and wording do they use on their websites? Is there a trend? These will all help steer you in the right direction.

Last, think about the way in which you write your marketing material. Is your spelling, grammar, and tone all correct and appropriate? Are you hitting the high notes in terms of highlighting what you offer and why YOU are a great choice? If you struggle, consider employing the services of a content writer. They can work on your marketing material so you don t have to. Their business revolves around words so you should find one with an interest in market and get some copy done for your web presence. So if you are tired of your cubicle you may not have a better chance than you have right now to set up a business helping others plan and execute theirs.
