Of course in order to be able to be a maestro with this type of musical instrument, the instrument has to be world class and made by a really good luthier or violin maker. One of the most famous luthiers in this field is none other than Scott Cao who hails from the land of China.
Now for those who do not know about him, he was a luthier in China sometime in the year 1970. He decided to leave China because of the cultural revolution that was going on at that time. When he moved to the United States of America, he became an extremely famous luthier or violin maker who stationed himself permanently in California.
As stated above, the cultural revolution of the famous general Mao Ze Dong was going on during the middle of the seventies. It was during this time that mister Scott was living his life as a simple farmer who would make a living by picking up crops and selling them at the market. After some time, there was a famous violin making teacher who eventually offered him a means in which mister Cao could become an apprentice.
Mister Cao took interest in this and eventually was offered by the teacher a program wherein mister Cao would become a student. From there, he took up a course in the Guangzhou Institute of Professions and learned all about violins and how to make and repair them. Some time in the late seventies, he graduated from this institute and continued his career as a luthier or violin maker.
In the year 1985, China opened itself to other countries which gave mister Cao an opportunity to travel to America in order to start anew. In America, he studied under some of the most famous names when it comes to violin making. He studied under great names such as Hans Weisshaar, Louiz Bellini, and Roland Feller.
After learning the trade, he decided to go back to China and open up his own shop along with mister Hideo Kamimoto. His store sold some of the best quality but very affordable string instruments like violins, violas, cellos and many others. After some time, he established his own brand known as Scott Cao Violins.
After a few years, he went back to the America and stationed one of his main shops there. He has received many awards from violin making contests in which he has entered. Also, there are many famous like who have used his violins such as Nigel Kennedy and Gidon Kremmer.
The life mister Scott Cao was a good one with regard to his career because he was doing something that he really has a passion for and really excelled in it. He was so good that even his copies of the famous Stradivarius was praised by music enthusiasts. Because of his burning passion for creating violins, he was able to become an extremely skillful luthier, probably one of the best in the field.
